Doing God's Work.

Link to Enquirer Guest Column

Father Brendan Dardis has an excellent guest column today. Father Dardis, along with members of his Parish, St. Pius X Chapel, pray weekly outside a Clifton abortion mill.

What I find incredible is that some of the local business owners are upset at the prayer and protest group for showing pictures of aborted/murdered children. WTF is wrong with these people? They should be upset at the abortion/murder mill.

Our Lady loves all children, I find it particularly appropriate that Father and his flock are praying the Rosary.

From the column:
The real story, however, is what our men, women and children are subjected to while peacefully praying. Each week we get lewd and profane gestures and insults from motorists. Cars veer toward us to scare us. Pedestrians have spat upon us and threatened violence. One pedestrian violently punched our signs as we held them. One patron of the Cactus Pear restaurant brandished a gun in front of our schoolchildren before entering his truck and later drove by with a threatening hand gesture. (District 5 police deemed the gun incident to be a non-reportable offense and would not investigate it.)

The graphic abortion pictures? No sane person could describe them as anything but disturbing. The owner of the Cactus Pear, who willingly shares a parking lot with the abortuary, accurately described seeing "teeny little bodies" and "baby pictures," contrary to abortion industry propaganda. Sadly, such pictures are necessary education for a society that is still incredibly ignorant about the so-called "harmless" abortion procedure. Pictures show the fruit of that horrific and barbaric procedure and, as disturbing as they are, I find the actual killing at the Clifton abortuary to be far more disturbing. Graphic signs remove all doubt about what goes on there as we pray in reparation for the killing. Our protest springs from moral outrage that our government has empowered certain citizens with the right to kill innocent babies. Abortion is homicide, a contract killing by the abortionist.

Most telling was the line just above, Our protest springs from moral outrage that our government has empowered certain citizens with the right to kill innocent babies. Abortion is homicide, a contract killing by the abortionist.

How powerful. How correct. God Bless you, Father Brendan, you are one of America's everyday heroes.

A Hitler who advocates the murder of children.

Yes, Giuliani wants YOU to pay for the murder of babies, and he'll appoint abortion loving judges to the Supreme Court too!

Then there is this:

Yes, Giuliani wants YOU to give up your freedom to the government.

To which Ben Franklin replies:

Yes, Franklin would be disgusted.

Many versions of the 2nd Amendment?

It's true. Researchers have found a number of different versions. Here are some:

Original Version
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

"Assault Weapons Ban" version
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms that do not have 7 of the following features including but not limited to a bayonet lug, flash suppressor, detachable magazines, semi-automatic fire, a conspicuous pistol grip, a shroud surrounding the barrel, or any weapon of the type AK-47, AR-15, FN-FAL, UZI, MAK90, NHM-91, shall not be infringed.

Al Gore Version
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. This right shall be limited to persons who are already serving in the military and their issue weapons. (It does not apply to me.)

Clinton Version
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Depending on how you define “people” this may not apply to people in the United States. Confiscation does not necessarily meet the legal guidelines for “infringement”. “Free” is a relative term that means you are always protected and monitored by a powerful government.

Boobirds follow Evil Pelosi.

(Evil) Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was booed while (Righteous) Minority Leader John Boehner was cheered at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee annual meeting.

What's incredible is that this woman is just two heartbeats away from the Presidency.

From The Hill, an online journal:

Members of the main pro-Israel lobbying group offered scattered boos to a statement by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) that the Iraq war has been a failure on several scores.

The boos, mixed with some polite applause, stood in stark contrast to the reception House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) received minutes earlier. Most of the crowd of 5,000 to 6,000 stood and loudly applauded Boehner when he said the U.S. had no choice but to win in Iraq

Pelosi, clearly didn't know her audience. What is even more important, is that this woman just doesn't get it. Here is some more:

Boehner sought to link the fight in Iraq to the future of Israel, as he said a failure in Iraq would pose a direct threat to Israel.

Pelosi said the U.S. military campaign in Iraq had to be judged on three accounts: whether it makes the U.S. safer, the U.S. military stronger and the region more stable.

“The war in Iraq fails on all three counts,” Pelosi said. Some of the crowd applauded before catcalls and boos could be heard. A spokesman for AIPAC argued the boos were in response to those clapping for Pelosi.

Really, we all know that Pelosi was being booed. Of course, we shouldn't be too surprised. The Democrats are the anti-Israel party.

Just in case you don't remember who Pelosi is, here is a picture to remind you:

Mallory to sue? UPDATED

Rumor has it that the City will be filing suit to block the implementation of Ohio's newest gun law.

The new law, which goes into effect Wednesday the 14th of March (tomorrow), has the positive effect of creating a uniform set of gun laws across the state. It also provides attorney's fees to those who challenge a municipality's continued ordinances or regulations that are in conflict with the new state law.

Basically, the new law confirms that the people have the right to own, transport or carry any firearm, openly or concealed, in the State of Ohio as long as they are within compliance with Ohio law. In short: Local gun control laws are tossed out, and we have the same rules everywhere in Ohio!

Shame on the City for filing suit, assuming the rumors are correct.

UPDATE: Well, WTF has an old college friend who works in Cleveland. He tells WTF that Cleveland is filing the suit, with Cincinnati to possibly join on. They'd rather try in Cuyahoga County, where they'll find liberal judges. Hamilton County Judges are too scary to Mallory and his crew.

Giuliani: The Manchurian Candidate.

The Politico has an excellent analysis of the judges appointed by Liberal Giuliani when he was NYC Mayor.

Giuliani's judicial appointments during his eight years as mayor of New York were hardly in the model of Chief Justice John Roberts or Samuel Alito -- much less aggressive conservatives in the mold of Antonin Scalia.

A Politico review of the 75 judges Giuliani appointed to three of New York state's lower courts found that Democrats outnumbered Republicans by more than 8 to 1. One of his appointments was an officer of the International Association of Lesbian and Gay Judges. Another ruled that the state law banning liquor sales on Sundays was unconstitutional because it was insufficiently secular.

A third, an abortion-rights supporter, later made it to the federal bench in part because New York Sen. Charles E. Schumer, a liberal Democrat, said he liked her ideology.

Cumulatively, Giuilani's record was enough to win applause from people like Kelli Conlin, the head of NARAL Pro-Choice New York, the state's leading abortion-rights group. "They were decent, moderate people," she said.

Go to the site for more, but there is no way around it. Giuliani is a left-wing liberal masquerading as a Republican.

My Kingdom for Fred Thompson.

"I'm the Israeli Ambassador" says man after ball-gag removed from mouth.

WTF said "WTF?" today after reading THIS account of the behaviour of the Israeli Ambassador to El Salvador.

It seems that the Ambassador was found outside the embassy

drunk and tied up — wearing nothing except for bondage gear, officials have said.

The article then notes that

According to reports, officers noted that the ambassador had his hands bound, his mouth gagged and appeared to be with accessories that suggested sado-masochistic acts.

Despite his inebriated state, Mr Rephael was apparently able to clearly identify himself to the police as Israel's ambassador to the central American nation

It seems that the Ambassador has been recalled.

I wonder if Hillary Clinton was the Dominatrix?

In a world of many choices...make sure you choose the right font.

DC Court of Appeals: 2nd Amendment protects an Individual Right.

This is great news. Proof that the Courts are not always insane.

To summarize, we conclude that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms. That right existed prior to the formation of the new government under the Constitution and was premised on the private use of arms for activities such as hunting and self-defense, the latter being understood as resistance to either private lawlessness or the depredations of a tyrannical government (or a threat from abroad). In addition, the right to keep and bear arms had the important and salutary civic purpose of helping to preserve the citizen militia. The civic purpose was also a political expedient for the Federalists in the First Congress as it served, in part, to placate their Antifederalist opponents. The individual right facilitated militia service by ensuring that citizens would not be barred from keeping the arms they would need when called forth for militia duty. Despite the importance of the Second Amendment's civic purpose, however, the activities it protects are not limited to militia service, nor is an individual's enjoyment of the right contingent upon his or her continued or intermittent enrollment in the militia.

Dear God, let it be true!

Please God, make this so!

WASHINGTON — Former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson is facing increased calls to get into the 2008 GOP nomination race.

Sources told FOX News that Thompson, 62, now one of the stars of the popular NBC prime time series "Law & Order," has not ruled out a presidential bid, and has authorized advisers and supporters to continue to gauge support.

Romney? A liberal
Editing to add: McCain? A traitor to free speech, (McCain-Feingold), and a near liberal

Please God, save us with Fred Thompson.
