Doing God's Work.

Link to Enquirer Guest Column

Father Brendan Dardis has an excellent guest column today. Father Dardis, along with members of his Parish, St. Pius X Chapel, pray weekly outside a Clifton abortion mill.

What I find incredible is that some of the local business owners are upset at the prayer and protest group for showing pictures of aborted/murdered children. WTF is wrong with these people? They should be upset at the abortion/murder mill.

Our Lady loves all children, I find it particularly appropriate that Father and his flock are praying the Rosary.

From the column:
The real story, however, is what our men, women and children are subjected to while peacefully praying. Each week we get lewd and profane gestures and insults from motorists. Cars veer toward us to scare us. Pedestrians have spat upon us and threatened violence. One pedestrian violently punched our signs as we held them. One patron of the Cactus Pear restaurant brandished a gun in front of our schoolchildren before entering his truck and later drove by with a threatening hand gesture. (District 5 police deemed the gun incident to be a non-reportable offense and would not investigate it.)

The graphic abortion pictures? No sane person could describe them as anything but disturbing. The owner of the Cactus Pear, who willingly shares a parking lot with the abortuary, accurately described seeing "teeny little bodies" and "baby pictures," contrary to abortion industry propaganda. Sadly, such pictures are necessary education for a society that is still incredibly ignorant about the so-called "harmless" abortion procedure. Pictures show the fruit of that horrific and barbaric procedure and, as disturbing as they are, I find the actual killing at the Clifton abortuary to be far more disturbing. Graphic signs remove all doubt about what goes on there as we pray in reparation for the killing. Our protest springs from moral outrage that our government has empowered certain citizens with the right to kill innocent babies. Abortion is homicide, a contract killing by the abortionist.

Most telling was the line just above, Our protest springs from moral outrage that our government has empowered certain citizens with the right to kill innocent babies. Abortion is homicide, a contract killing by the abortionist.

How powerful. How correct. God Bless you, Father Brendan, you are one of America's everyday heroes.

Amen, Our Lady does love all children and those who try to save them. Pray for Rachel's Vineyard and their mission to help post-abortive women.

We have adopted three special needs children - one medically handicapped, two that aren't bio related, but their birth parents either had physical or psychological problems.

Kind of blows a hole in the "pro-lifers only care about babies before they are born"

If you see a green Rav4 with multiple pro-life bumper stickers and Sacred Heart radio stickers, that's me.
